Vast enough to understand

Water embodies her dualities and contradictions in a way that i deeply respect and find comfort in.

She surrenders her body to be moved by the wind and the moon into unpredictable thrashes. While nurturing an entire universe in her belly. She never questions her own nature.

And when I stand at the edge of her great mouth, she kisses my toes and flings her arms open. Wide enough to hold every bit of me. Vast enough to understand. So ancient that she knows words aren’t needed.

And I’m reminded of the waters in me. Thrashing, nurturing, life giving. An entire universe in my belly.
